Hi,
I am doing a one name study of the Rossiter family and am looking for information please about the parents, grandparents, siblings and children of Charles Rossiter born October 2nd 1858 and baptised on December 25th 1858 at Holy Trinity Church , Salford.
Parents are believed to be William and Elizabeth Rossiter but I have no details about them.
Charles has at least one sibling, William baptised September 1st 1861 at Holy Trinity church.
Any information would be greatly appreciated please. TIA.
Best wishes

Hi Rcuser,
Both births are on the Lancashire Online parish clerk site, which gives a bit more detail than IGI:
http://www.lan-opc.org.uk/
Sacred Trinity Salford Address for both baptisms was 13 Cook St, Salford. Parents were indeed William and Elizabeth. For Charles' birth, William gave his occupation as 'fitter', and for William's in 1861, he put 'mechanic'
Hope that helps - haven't found them on census as yet though Barbara

Here they are in 1871, spelled 'Rosseter'
RG10/4018/155 William Rossetter 34 cotton machine fitter, b Manchester Elizabeth Rossetter 34 b. Manchester Charles Rossetter 13 b Manchester (can't read occupation, possibly 'apprentice to a machanic') William Rossetter 12 Alfred Rossetter 5
William and Alfred have place of birth - something ending in '-ington'; can't read it! Partington maybe?
