I am looking for any information regarding the family SMART.
They have appeared to lived in the County of Fife.
Any help would be appreciated.

married Margaret Dingwall (b abt 1776 Collessie)
Children
John (b. July 29 1798 Falkland)
Robert (B. 1799 abt Falkland)
William (b. Nov 5 1802 Falkland)
Janet (b. June 21 1807 Falkland)
Helen (b. Feb 11 1805 Falkland)

John married Barbara Lyon Hood (c. Jan 5 1801 Strathmiglo)
(m. Jan 13 1823)

Robert may have married Margaret Ballingall

No further information of William, Janet or Helen

John and Barbara had 4 children
William (b. Dec 9 1823 Collessie)
Helen (b. abt 1835 Collessie)
Margaret (b. abt 1838Collessie)
John (b. abt 1840 Collessie)

William may have married Ann Grant.
Helen may have married David Reekie.
No information on Margaret.
John married Isabella Reekie (b. abt 1847 Fathline/Falkirk)
John married Isabella (m. April 1 1864)

John and Isabella had 7 children.
John (b.Dec 13 1864)
George (b. Dec 29 1865)
David (b. Aug 17 1870)
William (b. July 20 1873
Michael (abt 1878)
Archibald b. abt 1882, Kettle)
Eupemia (b. Dec 5 1887)

David married Maggie Smart (b.abt 1869 Kettle).
Michael may have married Elizabeth S. Patton (b. abt 1880)

There is a family rumor that Maggie was with child before she married David and the father was from Ireland.

David and Maggie had 4 children
Donald G. (b. abt 1890 Falkland)
John (b. abt 1894 Auchermuchy)
Annie G. (b. abt 1896 Falkland)
William Smart (b. abt 1897 Cupar)

Hi there,

With regards to William, Janet and Helen, that you know nothing more about, I've come across these, which could be possibles.

William Smart b. 1803, Falkland, Fife married Betsy Scott on either 20th or 27th May and either in Collessie or Falkland, Fife
and had - Margaret b. 24 jul 1831, Helen b. 24 feb 1833, Isabella b. 14 mar 1835 and John b. 9 sep 1840
William was a Hand loom weaver and they lived in Kettle, Fife

Janet married William Pettrie on 21 dec 1821 in Kettle, Fife. Can't find a family, will keep looking

Helen is still a mystery though

Alexander b 1st Aug 1835, ch 12th Aug 1835

All in Collessie.

A possible for Helen( b 1805 )

Helen Smart = Richard Dobbie 18th Jun 1831, Dunfermline.

Children:-   Alexander 1832
                  Elizabeth  1833
                  Thomas 1838
                  Richard 1840
                  Alexander 1843
All born Dunfermline
