This couple, I believe, are my 4xG grandparents. My ggg grandfather, their son Robert, gave his place of birth as Dalton-le-Dale, ca. 1824. Can anyone with access to the censuses see the family in 1841 (when I expect son Robert was still living with them), and also if possible in the 1851 census? I have son Robert in the 1851 and 1861 censuses with his own family.
Many thanks.

In the 1841 Robert Richardson in Haswell--if you look at the census page you will see his age is 7 in that one-not 17. This family lived in Coxhoe/Quarrington Hill in the 1851 census including Robert.

Possible marriage for Robert and Isabella ex IGI and FMP
Sunderland Holy Trinity, Durham Marriage: 27 January 1812 Robert Richardson Isabella Hamilton
Some of these IGI Births seem to support the 1841 Census details above:
Sunderland, Durham Father: Robert Richardson, Mother: Isabella Hamilton
Agnes Richardson, 19 June 1813 Ann Richardson, 31 January 1815 Edward Richardson, 7 November 1819 Marks Richardson, February 1822 Robert Richardson, 6 September 1824 Elizabeth Richardson, 27 July 1826 Joseph Lister Richardson, 15 August 1828 Edward Richardson, 29 September 1831

Thank you Colin, Janis and Ivan
I think that Ivan's find in Hartlepool might be them. The IGI possibilities I looked at for Robert's birth included a son of Robert and Isabella; the Source Call reference for which includes Dalton-le-Dale as well as other Durham parishes. This led me to believe that it could be the right one, as that is where the younger Robert gives his place of birth in the 1861 census. The parent search on Robert and Isabella does seem to tally quite well with the Hartlepool family in 1841.
Many thanks to you all. Simon
