Welcome to Rootschat Cleaker  Grin Grin

There is no sign of him on the IGI or BiVRI, closest on the IGI is a Robert Cleasby born 1802 in Reeth.  Unfortunately I don't have access to the PR's on Ancestry as there is a large yorkshire collection there.

Hi Cleaker,

Welcome from me too !!  Smiley

Like Madpants, at the moment I can't help with the birth, but I wondered
if this might help in some way, Robert and Nancy's marriage, with the
names of their respective father's :

Marriage: 3rd January 1839
Robert Cleasby ~ Nancy Langron

Father's names :
Anthony Cleasby
Thomas Langron

Place of Marriage:
Kirkby Stephen, Westmorland

Kind regards,

Pels.

I know I'm jumping the gun seeing as we haven't found his birth, but if
you haven't already seen this, it might be of interest:

Marriage:17th November 1792
Ant Cleasby
Alice Alderson
Muker, Yorkshire

I'm not sure where you live, but as you will see by the above link .. all
these places are close to one another.

There is an Alice Cleasby still alive, the age would fit, but she appears to be a widow on both census returns.

1841 census:
HO107/1246/3, Folio 5, Page 2

1851 census:
HO107/2380, Folio 238, Page 22

Again nothing concrete, but out of small acorns .. ??

The birth and parents of Nanny Cleasby, the daughter of Alice on the above returns, taken from the IGI :

Birth, 14th, August 1812
Christening, 15th August 1812
Nanny Cleasby

Parents:
Ant and Alice Cleasby
Muker, Yorkshire

See what you think anyway, nothing lost if you aren't too sure !!
