IGI have: for Duncan Mcgregor b. Fortingall circa 1816

17 October 1816 - parents Alexander McGregor and Catherine McDougall

and:

9 May 1814 - parents John McGregor and Margaret McNaughtan

I was sure that I'd done this one before!

and for a nightcap, this looks like Duncan McGregor's baptism  (going by the naming of his children):

17 Oct 1816, Fortingall

Duncan McGregor s/o Alexander McGregor and Catherine McDougall

Just done an IGI family search with Alexander and Cathrine McDougall, I got loads of children, and the names in most cases would follow naming patterns of the family,

but i was interested to find a Donald McGregor aswell!!!

Very interesting given the names of the children.

I think that these are Betsy's parents but this is not her birth unless she underestimated her age by about 7 years:

5 June 1809, Fowlis Wester - Elizabeth Hunter. Parents - Jas. Hunter and Mary Young

Now I must leave you to struggle on a bit further.

Have fun  Cheesy

Just another little snippet to try to find out Donald's birthplace.

This is from the 1851 and looks something like Famekle. I can't think of anywhere that sounds like that. It's not Fortingall, which I was hoping for.

I've enclose enough of the writing to show how the Fs are written.

Added - I'll put it up on the deciphering board to see if anyone can work it out:
