The info you give looks like it comes from a marriage cert - what is the date of this marriage?
Have you found the people in any censuses? If so which ones? Presumably you have something else on them to know they ended up in Lambeth! Tell us all you know, then we wont duplicate.

Hi

The date of the marriage was 1850, Roberts fathers name was Simon Sandford, born about 1805,  it is Simon I would specially like information about, he may have lived either in Suffolk or Clerkenwell,  there is one Simon  Sandford in the National archives who died in 1832 this is not the one I am looking for I would be very grateful for any help, Gwen

Have you found them in 1841?

If not, what info can you give from later censuses (eg Roberts date and place of birth) that might lead us to the family pre Robert's marriage.
Where did Simons year of birth and possible places of birth come from?

Thanks Rosie

It seems there was a finding in 1851 on that thread as follows:

1851 census HO107 1526 folio 16
Duke Street St Bartholomew the Great City of London
Robert Sandford 25 Head Married Norfolk
Sarah Sandford 19 Wife Married London

and other censuses where Robert gives birthplace as Saxham Suffolk

and some other suggestions to follow up.

But I still would find it helpful to know where Simon's possible birth and death years came from?

Yes, we can see that Robert gave the name of Simon for his father when he married in 1850 - but you said you wanted details on Simon born about 1805 who lived in Suffolk or Clerkenwell. And your other post says Simon 1800-1850.

Are these dates just 'guesswork' - if so please dont put them in!
If you have evidence to suggest they might be the right dates, then please let us know what it is!
