hi
i have just found on the 1911 census
charles nicholas and elizabeth ffolliott.
in totnes devonshire
would anyone have these people in there family,
as i am trying to find where charles nicholas ffolliott was born.
any help would be appreciated

How old is he in 1911? and where did HE say he was born?
FreeBMD has two marriages for Charles Nicholas Ffolliots
Jul/Aug/Sep 1890 Kensington 1a 358 (one of brides Elizabeth Murphy, other Ethel Treliving)
Apr/May/Jun 1899 Holborn 1b 1355 (one of brides Eliza Olive Williams, other Minnie Maud Hill)

charles nicholas ffolliott was 39 in 1911 census,totness devonshire
where he was born is what i am trying to find out
there are a couple of charles ffolliotts on other census but i cant pick out which one is him,
i think i am going to have to buy more credits and go back on the 1911 census to find out ,

Here are Charles and Eliza as Newly weds in 1901

31 Roseberry Court Holborn
Chas N Folliot Solicitors clerk bn Kensington
Eliza O wife 24 bn Greenwich
does age/wifes details/ occupation etc tie up with 1911?
also what children do they have? a birth cert for one of them will give mothers maiden name (or if after 1911 can find it from indexes)

sounds good to me
they didnt have any children together
but elizabeth had a daughter who died in 1921 and on her death certificate it said that charles n ffolliott stepfather sighned the death certificate
and funny enough he was a lawyer,

I just found your inquiry about Charles Nicholas. I have him in my data base and he is the same one as #5 in the replies you have received. According to the 1891 census he was born in South Kensington, London. He is a collateral relative of mine. I am interested in knowing what your connection to the Ffolliott family is as my maiden name was Ffolliott. I would be pleased to hear from you.

thank you for getting in touch.
this may sound complicated but i will try and explain
my son in laws mother was called bessie beavis
so we were tracing the beavis family
one of the beavis men married a lady called
elizabeth walker, but they eventually parted
and then elizabeth then married a charles nicholas ffolliott,
elizabeth had a daughter to her first husband ,called
grace may beavis born in 1900
grace was an actress and while on tour in scotland she died in 1921, on her death certificate her step father is charles nicholas ffolliot ,lawyer
so thats why i was trying to find out about charles,
but there were two or three charles nicholas ffolliott,s on the census so i couldnt be sure which was the right one,
elizabeth and grace are with charles on the 1911 census but i am not sure when charles and elizabeth got together,
but i know it was after 1901 as elizabeth and grace on the 1901 census is living with elizabeths parents josiah and emma walker.
so as yet i am still not sure which is the right charles n ffolliott.
i bet you wished you hadnt asked now millicent,
it is a bit complicated to explain,
but hope you can follow it ok,
i am going to pay again and get the 1911 census
as that will tell me where charles was born,
then i maybe able to get the right charles,
