Hello!

I'm trying to find out more about this gentleman and especially his wife.
He was born abt 1823.
He lived in Glasgow Barony and, later, Maryhill.
He married Elizabeth (I've no dates or history of her, her maiden name or the marriage).
He sired 5 children: William, Margaret, Patrick B, John B and (perhaps) P R B - though this latter could be a corruption of Patrick B?

I'd be grateful for any hints, tips or pointers. And especially for facts!!"

IGI again - extracted record - mothers name needs checking

ELIZABETH BOYLE BLAIR   Birth:  APR 1828   Irvine, Ayr   
Father:  PATRICK BLAIR    Mother:  JOHN_ FAIRRIE 

There are 3 submitted marriage entries for this couple - all with different dates in the same month of the same year

PATRICK BLAIR   Spouse:  JOHN FAIRRIE   Marriage:  03 NOV 1823   Irvine, Ayr, 
other dates are 1st November and 12th November

A strange 1841 entry - the images are not available on Ancestry - only on Scotlands People which is a paysite.  The 1841 does not show relationships and ages from 16yrs were rounded down to the nearest 5yrs

Thank you so much. A veritable treasure trove. And so quick...There seem to be so many leads, I could now be busy for a long time.

At least, I've now located my friend's 8 g-grandparents and 8 gg-grandparentsand look to have material to take this strand further. Some strands go back 10 generations, so there's plenty to challenge me!
