Searching for Lowry Belfast

Hello I am just starting my family search and need help to get started please.  My family is all gone and I have no one to ask if the information that I have is correct. I hope that the starting names and dates are correct.  The name that I have is Alexander Lowry born: 16/03/1857, death 19/06/23. Then on the 25/10/1881 he married Margaret Ann Fawie born 1861, death 17/04/1945 , they are from Belfast.  That is all the information that I have at the moment. And now I will return to searching the topics here for information. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanking anyone in advance Sharon.

On Emerald Ancesters  on  Alexander lawry's marriage the brides maiden name says FITCHIE not Fawie here are the full details

Thankyou so much for that. As I said I have no family left to confirm information. It is so helpful to have an area to search for more information I thankyou very much  Grin As you have spelt if differently (Lawry) that may help me in my search as I have been coming up with nothing. Wow I hope to be half as good at this one day.  I did find out that Alexander was with the Royal Irish Rifles and recieved a British Star but that is it so far.  Thankyou so much again you have been so helpful Wink

Civil registration of births in Ireland started in 1864 so there will be no birth certificates for Alexander Lowry and his wife. For pre-registration dates you'll need to search for church records, if they exist.
