Looking for Louisa Summers birth in 1863 in St Peters Port Guernsey. Her parents were James Summers (1828) and Sarah A Summers (1833) both born in Brixham, Devon. Louisa had several siblings born in Guernsey, Mary 1856, Richard 1858, Sarah 1862,William 1864 and Reginald 1867.
Can anyone help with this? Looking for Louisa's mother's maiden name!

Hi Sue
had some time at the Priaulx Library today, here is what I found:
James Summers and his wife Sarah Ann Turner had five children:
Mary Hawe Summers born April 5 1856 St. Peter Port
Louisa Gray Summers born May 1 1857 St. Peter Port
Richard Turner Summers born Oct 15 1858 St. Peter Port
Sarah Ann Turner Summers born Jan 16 1862 St. Peter Port
William Jean Summers born Aug 18 1863 St. Peter Port (Jean is local form of John)
James is then shown as having two more children with second wife Mary Elizabeth Windsor:
Reginald Edmund Summers born 4 Jan 1867 St. Peter Port
Isabella Windsor Summers born 24 Sep 1868 St. Peter Port
I found no obvious death record for Sarah Ann, either under Turner or Summers, in St. Peter Port- I wasn't able to check the full index as it was in use elsewhere.
James' occupation was shoemaker/shoe repairer, and he moved from home to home a lot as there are six different addresses given, all within St. Peter Port, for the seven births!
I hope this at least gives you a few more clues to follow up!
