All census records have Griffith as being from Llanderfel and he was born about 1829.
Llanderfel is in the Bala area.
There`s only one Issac Edwards born Wrexham district that seems to match the son from the 1861 census aged 6.

You need to get a birth certificate if you are sure that it is the right one , to see what Margarets maiden name was, then you can hopefully trace their marriage and both Griffith and Margarets fathers names and occupations.
This will help you go back one more generation.
