Does anyone know the location of the above street? I have the Stewart family there in 1820's also the Hibberts in 1880's.

Hi,

Found a reference to a Wash House in Springfield Street c 1905.

Indicated that it was in the Old Swan area of Liverpool.

Regards

According to the 1881 census it was next to St Anne Street. I think some of it has been knocked down, see link below

Thanks John for looking it up for me. I think Old Swan may be too far from the centre of the city, as the children were baptised at St Peters Church. Smiley

Ricky thanks for that link. The St. Anne Street area seems most likely, well found. Wink

Cheers, much appreciated.
