Hello -
My ancestor Marmaduke Stephenson (born Rudston, c.1777) who married Elizabeth Hudson (b.1789) lived with her at Rise, and eventually North Frodingham. The 1841 census records his household as being himself, his wife, a John Stephenson (aged 18, so born c., 1822/3) and Ann Stephenson (aged 15.)
Can anyone tell me anything about John and Ann ? or if Marmaduke and Elizabeth had children other than Isabella (Hebb), Martha (Witty) and Mary, and the two mentioned above (if indeed these two last were their offspring ?
I understand that a Jane Stephenson married one Robert Hought in 1839, and that they lived in the Mill House, North Frodingham. There is a John Stephenson with them by the 1851 census.
Is there a close family relationship, and if so, what ?
Sorry about all this. People have been unbelievably helpful on this poor southerner's quest!

Greenman, I can see the following births with Marmaduke and Elizabeth listed as parents, Rise, Yorkshire.

Father: not mentioned
Mother: Jane
Ann Stephenson 24/4/1826 North Frodingham, Yorkshire
