Not seeing one on IGI for c. that year (IGI at www.familysearch.org is normally very good for Scotland for that period).

The closest are:

1851 - Glasgow Barony to Mary Shaw
1864 - Dollar, Clackmannanshire to Mary Hutchison

You could try on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk to see if any more show.

                Thank you for the reply. i just found him on the 1871 census of england down as weggi. his wife was Mary Ann monk from brentford middlesex. sorry for wasting your time
