Already done that - as Tati did too.

What happened to Harriett? I notice two of the children are with, I presume, her family in 1901. Did she die?

I have traced all the children right through to 1911. I have the marriage cert for her eldest daughter Esther Mary ward in 1909 which shows walter ward as deceased - but I cannot yet prove this fact! Harriet was living with her brother Henry Fry and daughter Nellie Ward in 1911 in Royston area ( the same area where Esther married in 1909) and Harriet finally passed away in 1914 in the Royston area.

I just need to clarify the position re Jane Vizor to see if she had any part possibly in this conundrum as I cannot trace Jane after 1881 based on her age of 30 on the 1881 Census.

Do you follow my possible line of thinking?

I follow your line of thinking but she doesn't appear before 1881 either.

I have looked at variations of surname and birthplace.

Do I recall that you have Harriet as a widow in Herefordshire in 1901?

Yes - it is abit random as the only likeley entry for 1901 is in Ludlow! She is shown as a widow age 45 - seamstress of shirts and born in Malmsbury - but she is lodging with folks from Shrewsbury and Wenlock (whose names don't appear in this picture as yet!) and none of the children are with her - the girls are in service or with Harriet's brother and wife (surname Fry) at Pinkney Farm Sherston Magna Wilts - I know this is correct as I have a  family photo in respect of Pinkney Farm.
The only fact I have re Harriet that is a bit questionable is the 1901 Census - I am happy with all the other details I have found.
