hi
    i found one of my ancestors in moonzie, fife. his name is William heggie born 1795 son of morris heggie and Jane lessells. please can someone tell me if morris was from fife.

There is world tree on Ancestry which gives Morris Heggie's date of birth as 8 May 1768
Creich, Fife http://trees.ancestry.co.uk/owt/person.aspx?pid=23598179&st=1

There is an entry showing on Scotlands People in 1768 for a MORISE HIGGIE in Creich which is likely to be his you would think.

Hi Wayne, this might be of interest. from the Moonzie MI's:

John Heggie late plowman at Morthwhannie. 2/1/1782 age 36. also son John inf. wife Janet Millar 2/4/1831 age 84 (also wife of Robert Colville & by him)

there are also 295 heggies on the death index but can't see your names with enough detail (ie spouse /parents)
