I hope I am in the right place to ask if anyone can help with info about John Steel and Jessie Russell who married in 1899.
John was born in Erskine one of 8 children I think and jessie i do not have any thing about her.
Any help would be much appreciated

Hi!
There are John and Jessie Steel in the 1901 census with their son John Steel aged 9 months, and Robert Steel, Brother aged 20 living in Neilston, Renfrewshire. John Steel was born in Erskine.
Could these be yours?
In 1891 this John Steel was living at 1 Pattison Street, Paisley district, renfrewshire, aged 12 with his mother Maggie Steel,34, brother Robert,11, and sisters Maggie, 9, Jeanie, 5, and Helen,1.
In 1881: John Steel 30, Margaret Steel 24, Mary,4,John,2,robert,8 months, and Robert Fraser,12,Brother-in-law. At High Hatton, Erskine, Renfrewshire.
Ive found this Jessie in 1891, and 1881.
i'll give you the details if you think it's the right one.

Hi Bee,
Thanks for that. Yes they are the right ones. 1901 census is the correct ones as he has a brother Robert.
I have only found out about who he married and I did not have any info about that or any children etc.
I have been sent the 1891 & 1881 census but it was good to have it again as I double check all that is sent to me, so thanks for that.
Any help about Jessie would be great. Thank you.
