John Ayres look ups please

Hi,

I'm looking for any info on John Ayres born about 1823 in Connington Huntingdonshire. he married Eliza Elizabeth in 1841.
He can be found in the 1851 census, with children John 1846 Frances 1849 and Robertert 1851, Holme Huntingdonshire.

What I would like to find out are the details of thier marriage and her surname; and what year did he die?
Eliza is a housekeeper in 1861 for William Denton who I believe married in 1873 Huntingdon Reg District (if I have this right).

I'm trying to work out when John Ayres died as it appears there are children born to Eliza & William Denton out of wedlock between 1857 and 1864 ( or are they John Ayres's children? )

Would appreciate any help with this.

The only death on FreeBMD is:

Mar 1861, Huntingdon 3b/169
John Ayres.

If this is your man, Eliza must have moved in with William Denton pretty sharpish after his death.

Something definitely happened quick
William Denton Ayres was born Dec quarter and in 1861 he is 4 months old. This would have given just enough time for John to be dead.

George Denton Ayres or possible just George Ayres was born abt 1857, so perhaps he is John Ayres child although he carried on the name Denton Ayres.

Wonder what went on.....and it took William long enough to make her a honest woman!!
