COMPLETED - Mansfield burial - Christopher COOK (1883)
« on: Friday 16 October 09 23:26 UTC (UK) »

Hi, I am looking for a burial for my relative Christopher COOK(E). I know he died in 1883 in Mansfield (age 67), and I have tracked him through all the censuses. His address in 1881 was 12 Chesterfield Rd, Mansfield, Notts. I am not sure where he would have been buried though.

His wife's name was Ann, and she died in Mansfield in 1900 (age 82). Other relatives who he could be buried with are his niece Elizabeth Chadwin (d. 1943) and her husband Samuel Chadwin (d. 1939). Elizabeth "Lizzie" was like a daughter to him and Ann since her mother died when she was one. Any help in finding their burials as well would be helpful though I realise it gets more difficult to find in that period.

Thanks,
Alexander

Hello Alexander….... Smiley

The Nottinghamshire FHS burial index goes to 1900 but Christopher Cooke isn’t on there.
It is likely that he is buried at Mansfield Cemetery.

Mansfield Cemetery, Nottingham Road was opened 1857

You will need to contact the crematoria office to request a search form.

Mansfield Crematorium Office,
Derby Road,
Mansfield,
Notts.
NG18 5BJ
Tel:  01623 621 811
email:  crematorium@mansfield.gov.uk

Kind regards
Sheila.
