The world is your oyster. . . .

Hi Can anyone help me with unearthing an elusive character or two?
Looking for Deodatus Collis, father of John Thomas Collis, who was deceased by 1923. His son,John, married in London, Wandsworth, and Deodatus is listed as a 'Foreman' but I have no other info on him at all and cannot find anything.
Also, his son, John Thomas Collis. Born c. 1897 (no idea where). John is nowhere to be found after his birth - not managed to find any christening records or otherwise, nor census record. Cannot find a mothers name for him. John is described as an 'electrical wireman' on the only record I have, which is his marriage to Rosina C Clements in 1923, Wandsworth, London. His marriage record states he is 26.
They both seem to disappear into thin air! Any help with this would be much appreciated. Flosse
