Island of Coll Argyll
« on: Saturday 17 October 09 10:58 UTC (UK) »

My ancestor ,John McPherson was I believe, born in Coll 1791
Does anyone happen to know of any list etc. for that particular area and time frame.   I also wonder if it could have been mistaken for Cowal, but it does say  "Coll" on 1841  Glasgow census.. Be very greatful for any pointers.
By the way his father was Donald and he married a Mary Black in Rothesay.  Someone may have them in their "tree"
