Hi everyone,
I have been trying to find my paternal 2 X Gt Grandmother Jane Stranks B circa 1820. In 1841 she is living with Temperance Austin (love that name) in Middleton Cheney - most likely as his House keeper. Her marriage cert to William Waters on 31 Oct 1842 at Parish Church, Greatworth states her residence was Greatworth. No details about her father on the cert at all. She was a Spinster age 22.  The witnesses were Richard Humphris and Amos Barrott.
Jane and William lived their lives in Middleton Cheney and had at least 8 children. Jane died in 1901, William in 1875.
I have found other Stranks in Greatworth in 1841 a Joseph and Ann Stranks, he was B 1821 and she 1816. I suspect Joseph was my Jane's brother and Ann his wife of course.
There is a possibility the Stranks were from Brackley rather than Greatworth.
Other than this I have repetitively hit the wall, I have been to Greatworth and found nothing to help. I have lodged a couple of queries on here before, which have not provided a steer.
I wonder if any one has any ideas / suggestions about where I can go next please?
