Any one know how I can trace a james Morrison born Longford 1835ish?

Since the birth is before Civil Records started you will need Parish records to trace any info on James & Family.  Do you know what religion James and family were, or where in Longford they came from ?

The Irish Family History Foundation (pay website - www.irish-roots.ie) includes some parish transcripts for Co. Longford, and a search of the index shows a possible baptism match in for a James Morrison in 1835. Do you know James father's name ?
 
The parish for this record is Granard, Church of Ireland.

Thanks very much for your reply,they were Catholics and his father was called Francis.
