I see in the 1851 census, John is aged 16....... You don't mention the 1841 census, do you have this possibility?

thanks but thomas would have been on as he was born in 1838
and Mary was born in 1802

yes thanks that is the family but father is missing
i am tryng to find a joseph hall born 1837 whose father is named as John Hall, gardener on Josephs marriage cert in 1858
