looking for info on any Bryer Families that lived in / around Taunton. I am looking for
a marriage date for a John Bryer and Joanna Stanley. And info on that John Bryer.

I am looking at a timespan of abt 1841-1850. John and Joanna/Johanna had children.
I have a birth date for John as  April 16, 1818, but don't know how accurate it is .  Johanna I have    abt 1824 as a birthdate. They immigrated to the U.S. in 1856 and I believe they left in 1854. They
had sons, Seth?, Saul/ Solomon,  Cain ,  and Abel.  Johanna's parents were Owen and Harriet
Stanley, and she may have been from the Devonshire area. I know nothing of my John Bryer's
parents or siblings. Owen and Harriet were the Stanley Gypsies.  Other people connected to these  Bryers have no info on who this John Bryers family are. I have no birth certificates on John or
his children born in England, and don't know exactly how to obtain any.

Cain and Abel BRIER were born Dec 1/4 1843 Honiton Devon 10 135

Sorry I have had no luck with a marriage, nor can I spot them in 1841 or 1851

Pity I can't spot a marriage which would list fathers names.

No sign of these being Romany people - they appear very settled.

There are St James Records here but all I am spotting is a baptism for Charlotte.

Here is Joanna's baptism

STANLEY Joan was baptised 27 Oct 1822 Winterborne St Martin Dorset. She was the daughter of Owen and Harriot (from Exeter)
