Please can anyone help I need a marriage date from 1945 the marriage was between Mary Doreen Arkless and Paul Gerrard Reed and took place in Northllerton Registry Office  I am also needing the date od birth of paul Gerrard Reed Thank You

Hi Busybea,

I'm afraid you'll have to order the certificate to find out - I don't think registry offices marriages can be looked up at all. It would also tell you Paul's age at marriage.

The marriage was registered in the September ¼ 1945 GRO Ref. 9d 1760. Just to add that Northallerton is in Yorkshire not County Durham  Smiley

You can order a copy certificate from http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/
