John Jones born in Tenbury 1786-7

A John Jones, according to 1851 census, gave his birth place as Tenbury, Shropshire and his age in 1851 was 64 years. This makes his birth date about 1787-6.
I've had no luck finding birth details with IGI.
What county should I look in? Worcestershire, Shropshire or Herefordshire???
Since I can't find him in any of these counties on the IGI, are there any other suggestions as to where I could look?

There is a Tenbury with a postal address as Worcestershire, but  it is in the Diocese of Hereford. Tenbury St Micheal’s, parish registers aren’t on the IGI. The parish was formed from four others. Two are on the IGI for Herefordshire, Laysters and Middleton-on-the Hill. Neither have a John Jones baptised in 1786/7

As you’ll have noticed from a map, the county border with Shropshire is very close!

Your best bet is to ask SKS on the Worcestershire Look Up Request list to check the microfilm of the Tenbury parish registers for you at Worcester History Centre. I am not familiar with Herefordshire Record Office, so I had a look at the Herefordshire RO website, but couldn’t find a list of parish registers on microfilm held at their Office
