hi all

Have an Elizabeth Enefer b. 1863 Stockton married to Thomas Watson Robson, December 1882 Middlesborough.

Can anyone help find them on the 1891 census please.  Tried every combination I can think of - no luck.

Have them in 1901 living 8 Water Lane, Selby. with daughter Lizzie17yrs, b.1883 Middlesborough & Harry 1yr.

I cant see them either in 91...Strange...and such a big gap between 1st and 2nd child..hmm

the 1901 census has Thomas born Preston on Tees (in the borough of Stockton) but  Elizabeth Ann b. Middlesbrough

Did you get their 1882 marriage cert to find fathers' names & occupations and witness names to maybe help get a clue as to their whereabouts in 1891
- or maybe Harry's birth cert to make sure it's the same Elizabeth Ann?

It's possible the gap in family could also be that Thomas was away at sea, (shipbuilder's clerk in 1901)

In 1871 & 1881 Thomas was living with grandmother Susannah and her unmarried children, so possibly his mother was unmarried? Thomas not with them in 1891 though 

1871 Elizabeth Ann was with parents William & Lucy in Middlesbrough, 1881 a nurse in M'brough, again, not with parents in 1891

Wonder if they emigrated and came back by 1901

I wondered myself about the travel aspect, - ships clerk etc , but that was in 1901.

Time lapse between when I have him in 1881 and 1901, could have done any number of jobs not related to travel.

Elizabeth Enefer is the one I'm really interested in, thats the family line..Cannot find a death reg. for her in the given time frame, but then again I wouldn' if she died abroad/Thomas remarried abroad.  Will have to get Harrys cert to make sure.

Have you looked for them in 1911 census?  The original image shows how long married, how many children born and died, could be very useful
From the free index, Elizabeth Anne, Lizzie and Harry are living in Scarborough

If it is the same Elizabeth Ann Enefer in 1911, it will narrow down the date of death for her
