Rockbank, Partick, Glasgow,
I have been tracing the Duncan family all over Glasgow, Greenock and Renfrew. In the 1871 census I have found Robert Duncan and his family living at 8 Rockbank, Partick, Glasgow, it seems a quite affluent area as everybody seems to have servants, his occupation is given as Ironfounder employing 39 men and 5 boys. I have searched online maps but come up blank for this address, anyone know where it might have been? ?? Or what Iron foundries are in the area

Not sure if this helps. In the 1881 census, Rockbank shows as Rockbank Minard Road for the 32 entries there. Maybe a search for that road by name in Partick might help?
This link to the 1881 census gives you the enumeration districts and streets/properties - see Enumeration District 19 http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/LANARK/1999-07/0932250160

Minard Road I think may have been renamed Turnberry Road (Glasgow, Lanarkshire G11 for modern mapping). See www.glasgowguide.co.uk/info-streetschanged2.html
