She isn't immediately obvious in the 1851 but I think it's because of

Emma never died, well not in 1849...I am assuming the birth of Emma was that in Mar qtr 1848 Plymouth R.D but it might not be?

I cannot see a candidate for your EJ in 1851 there were 2 Emma Janes born 53 and 54 in plymouth and they both appear on the 61 census as far as I can tell, but then 53 and 54 would only make her 14 when she married  Undecided

The 1851 census does show an Emma DAWE born 1846 in Morice Town, daughter of Samuel & Harriett DAWE. All living on Morice Town Road, Stoke Damerel. (All areas around Devonport & Plymouth). Siblings include a Blanche, Lavinia, Frederick & Harriett.
An Emma Jane DAWE's birth was registered at Stoke Damerel (also known as Devonport) March qtr 1846 vol 9 page 500.
