Moira is in County Down so I'll move this from Co. Armagh board for you.

Another post here gives Joseph's wife as Sarah Robinson- three children are listed there, including Joseph (1867).

Perhaps you tell us exactly what information you are looking for that hasn't already been found.

I recently viewd a 1911 census form where I found the birth place  in Moira
Googling  Maps Moira Ireland I was given the location as Craigavon
Co Armagh
Because of the discepancis i choase to do a Check
on the Down information by going to Co Armagh
Joseph Weir reguarding his dob as correct his marriage would be 11
O nhis marriage details  1875 in Co Durham
He states he is a batchlor and his Fathers name is John
Again as their is a conflict of information through recent discoveries
I decided to recheck
I am very confused ,as I suppose many rootschaters do carrying out there own reshreace
Many thanks Aghadowey

hi joss c,

moira is one of those places where different counties meet;counties armagh, antrim and down in this case. it makes it more difficult for people who don't know the area.

there is a birth of a joseph weir,8-may-1849, in moira with parents called john weir and mary anne(from the igi). this fits in with the new information you found from the 1911 census.

but there is also a joseph weir, father john and mother elizabeth, born 19-june-1845 in moira. it would be hard to know which one is correct;it sort of depends on how confident you are of the 1849 date.
