Marriage Lookup - Thomas Jackson and Maria (completed)

Hi

I wondered whether anyone has a resource to identify a marriage between Thomas Jackson and Mary West in Dec Q 1855 in Hinckley.  I believe it was a second marriage for both parties and would be interested in the details.

I would also be interested in the details of Maria's potential first marriage to Charles West in Dec Q 1842 in the Hinckley district.

Thanks for your response lizdb

I was hoping that these may be included on a reference cd.  As i have been very lucky in that regard recently.  This would help me to identify the church and date and save me time trawling through Parish Records at the local library.  And copies there are only 25p!

Alternatively, if there were no sign of them it could lead me to believe that they took place at the Registry Office and as such ordering the certificate would be the only option after a bit of time double checking.

The information that people have provided to me in the past has saved me alot of time and money and also early leads to progress my research until i can actually get a copy of the records and so i am just hoping that someone will come up trumps again!

Now that you have confirmed her father was John Gisbourne i am not sure that the 1842 one is correct - unless she was twice the widow.......

But i'll let you check!

I wondered whether it was going to pan out like that!

Thats a big help - i have 'Thorns' in my family tree although have hit a brick wall with them in the early 19th century.  I will look to see whether Thomas Thorn fits in to that.

Thomas does already feature in my tree!  Son of John Thorne (abt 1778) and Sarah Calow (abt 1778).  I can't spot a baptism for Sarah although i can see a possible for John on the IGI (8th June 1778) - parents Thomas and Ann Thorne.

Can you spot any baptism, siblings or parents for Sarah?  And can you spot any siblings for John or a marriage of his parents Thomas and Ann?
