Halliwell baptism look up please
« on: Thursday 22 October 09 02:48 UTC (UK) »

I am posting this for a friend. Could some kind soul please look up the baptism of  William Edwin Warburton, born late 1886 (Dec qtr), in Halliwell.
He died just before the 1891 census and she is wondering if he is from her family.

Thanks.

Hi

To look up a (possible) baptism you would  need to supply details of which church it took place in and when?

Baptisms could take place weeks/months and even years after a birth

If your friend knows the names of the parents - she can apply for a copy of the birth cert but put a condition on it that she only wants it if parents are ..............

If it's the wrong one - she will only be charged a £3 search fee

Hi Carole, Thanks. I'll suggest that.

The little boy was buried in St Peters' in Feb 1891 aged 4. His birth was registered in Dec 1886, Bolton.

There was another boy, Isaac Warburton, 2, buried in the same grave a few months later in Aug 1891.
I have found him on the 1891 census, and know he is from the right family, but we were wondering if they were brothers.
