Hello from New Zealand.

Is anyone able to do a birth/ christening  look up for a GGGGgrandmother born 1802 in Wrexham, (dates from census data,) please.

In much later census data for Salford, Lancashire  her mother is Ellen Roberts 1776, also of Denbighshire.  Her brother William 1816 also appears.  I do understand common surnames like this can make research difficult.

As census returns for some Wrexham areas are missing for 1841 and 1851, I am unable to provide/ find  more information for clues, on possible extended birth family.

She married in Chester, 1821, and the Bishop's transcript did not name her father. My parents obtained a photocopy visiting Chester in 1994.

Any help will be gratefully received!

Hi Sue,
I can't do your lookup sorry  Sad  but  if you'd like I could take a look to see if I can help you to locate her in 1851, as I'm sure it isn't missing.

Although alot of the area is missing in 1841, the census for Wrexham town is available transcribed in book form, by the Clwyd FHS.

Posting the census details you have from the later census should hopefully help  Smiley

Hello Sue, I had a look at Wrexham baptisms but I couldn't see an Eleanor Roberts mother Ellen around 1802 Sad
