Look up Birth/Marriage Uppingham

Could some kind person help with info on a Joseph Hudson and Ann King.  I have a marraige in Uppingham 2qtr 1839.  Would like to find birth dates if possible.  I think Ann was born about 1819 and presume Joseph would have been in a similar period.

Have you found the couple in later censuses to see when and where they were married, so anyone who has access to Parish records will know where and when to look?

I have a marriage for Joseph Hudson and Ann King in Uppingham 2qtr 1839 and also a Census for 1841 showing them in Stamford. I have an approximate date for Anns birth as 1819 which I think was Uppingham.  There son Frederick was born in Uppingham in 1842, so I believe there must be connections there.

According to 1851 Ann was born Stamford

HO107 2094 289 7

North Street Stamford
Ann Hudson 32 widow Charwoman bn Stamford Linc
Selina dtr 11 bn Stamford Lincs
Frederick 9 son bn Uppingham Rutland

This is confirmed in 1841 as Ann and Selina say "not born in county" when they are living in Uppingham Rutland.
Strange that husband is not there then - had he died already and Ann was already expecting Frederick I wonder? Out of interest (being nosey really!) do you have Fredk's birth cert and does it say if father dec'd?

No, I don't have Frederick's birth certificate, must send for it.  I knew from the 1851 that Ann was a widower, had not considered whether the father was dead when Frederick was born.   I have tried to trace a death for Joseph and found several but none in the Stamford Uppingham area. 

Do you have any birth records for around the 1819's which might show Joseph Hudson or Ann King in Uppingham?

Sorry I dont - but the findings above indicate that Ann was not born Uppingham Rutland, but Stamford, Lincs!

In Uppingham PRs DE1784/9 there is the baptism for:

No. 175 on 30 April 1817, Susanna King daughter of Solomon and Elizabeth King.

Cannot see any other baptisms for King in the period 1813-1825.

Several Hudson entries but not one for Joseph.

Thanks for all the look ups. 
I was so convinced that Ann was born in Uppingham that I had not looked elsewhere, which was silly of me.
I think Joseph will remain elusive for a while longer.

No 1175.  15 February 1842 Frederic , son of Joseph and Ann Hudson was baptised at Uppingham.
