IGI has a marriage for a William HUNT and Maria HARVEY 15 Oct 1799, Gloucester, England, giving parents names for William as George HUNT and Ann (no parents listed for Maria). It is only a submitted record though.
(This info not relevant as HUNT is Sarah's married name - see below) There is also a baptism of a Sarah HUNT, 4 Oct 1821, parents William HUNT and Maria at Beaufort Place, St James, Bristol, Gloucester, Engaland. This is an extracted entry so a bit more reliable. Long time after marriage to be producing offspring if it is the same couple, however the name Maria is not that common.

HI,
Might the Hunt/Harvey couple be the parents of William Hunt?
Simple explanation is that the groom's names may have been written in the wrong space. What names are given for William Hunt's parents?
regards
Robyn

Yes she was a West before she married John Terry, and if that is her parents names underneath the hunt it sure is very difficult to read.
We all have senior moments cause in my post I put what I thought were his parents name and didn't add that I was having troubing deciphering the rest of it...

Hi
I have increased the magnification of the image (control ++ several sizes.)
Postulate David ? West and ?ellen? West mn ??
perhaps putting the image on the deciphering and recognition section may get some positive advice.
I think Alisons
Sarah HUNT d 1890 aged 68 { B 1822 -still not right} -parents Unknown # 12474 is worh considering she may well have claimed to be younger than she was.

Thought I had made a great find bUT I think we can rule out the Sarah HUNT died 1890 although she was the wife of a William HUNT.
http://newspapers.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/8599347?searchTerm=sarah+hunt Funeral Notice in The Argus, 8 April, 1890 is for the friends of William HUNT, chemist, to the funeral for his dearly beloved wife Sarah, from the residence, Sydney Rd Coburg to Holy Trinity Church, Coburg and then to the Melbourne General Cemetery.
HOWEVER: There is a death notice for the father of Mrs W HUNT chemist, Coburg, in The Argus, 30 December 1870, giving her father's name as Mr G WYKES at Leicester.
Odd, though, if these two notices refer to the same woman found on the index by Alison Sarah HUNT d 1890 aged 68 { B 1822 -still not right} -parents Unknown # 12474 why does the death index for her say 'parents unkown'?

Hi Joanna,
I have removed the certificate as I am afraid we do not permit the posting of complete certificates. A small portion as you posted earlier if fine, and that section being larger was easier to see.
Here is what I got - Its not easy as the writer leaves out letters making it look like large gaps (new words)
Williams residence Tatong Park, usual residence Tatong Park
Sarah TERRY Widow on ? Dec 1854, 3 living children, 5 deceased. She was born Norwood Green London England. She was a dressmaker, present residence Benalla, usual residence Benalla, parents ??-es WEST ?attia WEST maiden name ? K (THink its Not known/NK fathers occ ?
Armed with Norwood Green and aged 39 in 1854 (Born about 1815)

Abi WEST bap 26 Jun 1814 St Mary the Virgin Norwood Green James - father carpenter of Norwood

Looks like Sarah arrived as an unassisted immigrant in Pt Jackson 11 Aug 1833 aboard the BUSSORAH MERCHANT. She was aged 17 from London

Hi,
have just checked NSW http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/familyHistory/search.htm and two Sarah Hunts one 1852 aged 35 no parents details and another with no age or parents details in 1861. Both wold be longshots for her death but she does not seem to be found in the Victorian records to 1985.
Both possibilities but longshots.
Checked marriages for a Sarah WEST and then looked at subsquent deaths in Victoria aso without luck.
regards
Robyn
