Hi Newbe,

The children may not be buried together,4100 graves were shifted to make way for the motorway and the records may have been put together in alphabetical order, hence all the Waite's in the list,

Cheers Janette

Hi there,

I am now trying to find where Frederick Sydney WAITE died 20/4/1930 is buried. I believe it is somewhere in Northland but can't find his death anywhere. He married a Ada Hoskins in 1912 and they had a stillborn child in 1921. have not found any other children to them yet.

I believe Ada died 22 August 1975 and cremated at Purewa Cemetery 26 August 1975.

Is there anyway sks can look up a death notice for them please

Regards

Thank you so much KHP

Hopefully I can add further info to my tree then

Aslo need one for Edward Mandell Waite died 15/8/1956 buried the next day and Catherine Waite died 4 /12/1968 buried 7/12/1968

This is all for now.

I have found two out of three of Edward and Catherine's children

Am still trying to find info on Elsie Catherine Annie WAITE born 1901.
Do not see a marriage for her or a death either

Hi Newbe,
could this be your Frederick, the date is 10 years out but may be an error as the 22/4/ is very near and the age is correct

Hi Janette,

I have seen that one but thought it was not my one.

I wonder if I need to put a request on http://www.raogk.org/newzealand.htm to see if sks can find a headstone if there is one

What do others think.

I only worked out date of death from BDM on-line by narrowing it down tonight.

Hi Newbe,

It may be worth contacting the chap that looks after that cemetery, the notes say "white cross"
I wonder if the 22/4 was the  burial date and not the date of death and the 1940 happened when the data was loaded onto the database.

Thanks for that

Have sent request to the other link to see if there is a headstone. Sounds like a White Cross. I have done this before for headstones up Kaitaia way

Janette

I worked it out on our BDM website and they only have death dates not burial dates.

Will try that number in the morning

I do understand where you are coming from Janette Smiley

Have just checked the burial locator and there is no year or age  listed for Frederick WAITE but there is a M/I for him at Fairburn Cemetery
