Morgan/McKenna Marriage ca 1852
« on: Friday 23 October 09 10:44 UTC (UK) »

Hello,

I am looking for the marriage of Patrick Morgan and Kathleen/Kitty McKenna who had their first child in Armagh in 1853. Their son Patrick is my great-grandfather and he was born in Armagh in 1857. He married in Warrenpoint, County Down, to Minnie Havern.

Hope someone can help

What religion were they? Civil registration of Catholic marriages started 1864 but registration of all other marriages (including Registry Office) began in 1845. Index is online (free)- search for bride and groom separately then cross-reference results for match.

With index details (names, year, registration district, volume and page numbers) you can order the certificate. See here for details about ordering certificates for Northern Ireland counties-
