My family(Symonds) were connected to the people who owned"The Farlington Laundry"in Powerscourt Rd.Portsmouth from the 1920`s onwards.Their name was Martin & I think the wife of the owner was probably my father`s aunt.My Dad came back from Australia in April 1931 & gave that as the address he was returning to.If you are a "Martin" or have any details of the family link I would be pleased to know.The Symonds family were self-employed in a laundry business since the early 1900`s in the Waterlooville/Havant/Farlington area which may explain the name when it was located in Portsmouth.
