regimental recognision

I would hope some one could identyfy this soldier
and provide as much detail as is possible from this photo
It probably was taken in India c 1930/35

Hi Joss
The 2nd Battalion of the Seaforth Highlanders where in the North West Frontier of  India in 1930, The tartan which your soldier is wearing looks like the Mackenzie  tartan with the large overlaid white squares, The MacKenzie Tartan was the Regimental tartan of the Seaforth Highlanders, (now merged  to form the Queens Own Highlanders), It is difficult with a monchrome pic, Other highland regiments had an overlaid white or yellow square in the weave.
