Alexander Bell
« on: Saturday 24 October 09 06:45 UTC (UK) »

hello

My G grandfather was Alexander Bell from Tyrone (Tamlaght I think) born about 1850. His father was Alexander Bell  and his mother was Mary ann McKinney from Legnacash. Her father was James Mckinney a weaver.

This is all the information I have for the family, I am unaware of any other relatives. Please can anyone give me a census information or anymore details of any othe family or where they lived. I think they were Presbyterian.

Many Thanks
Bernie

Bernie,
Alexander Bell married Mary Anne McKinney in Orritor Presbyterian Church, Cookstown on 23 Jan 1855.
Unfortunately the Civil Registration of births did not start until 1864 so for earlier ones you will need church records. That said I did a Parent Search on the IGI and found the following children all born to Alexander Bell and Mary Anne McKENZIE in Cookstown.

9 Aug 1864 Annabella
8 Dec 1865 Henry
28 Jul 1867 Margaret Anne
8 Oct  1869 John
31 Jul 1871 Maria Jane.
