Charles Lee Clark(e)
« on: Saturday 24 October 09 14:46 UTC (UK) »

Can anyone tell me if any absentee voters' lists existed for Derbyshire in the early 1940s. I am trying to find out more about my ancestor Charles. I only know that in 1943 he was married with a young child. Any info greatly appreciated.

spouse : Nicholls

and a birth

there is a child burton Dist 1936  surname Clarke -mother's maiden name Nicholls

Cannot post names as we do not post names of anyone who may still be living

if you think this birth/marrige is your charles - then purchase of marriage cert /birth cert should give more information re parentage
also 1911 census

Thanks Suz. I'll just have to find out what the "L" stand for....  I also believe that he was a SAPPER in the Royal Engineers in 1942/3 but that's not helping me at the moment.
