Preval, Allcock, Butterfield in South Leeds
« on: Saturday 24 October 09 20:54 UTC (UK) »

Hello everybody
After getting onto the subject with my mum I've recently started researching my family history. On one of my visits to the library this website was suggested as one likely to offer quite a bit of help with my search. I'm looking for any info. regarding Amy Preval and Alfred Allcock who were married  at St Judes church in Hunslet 1885. Also their children one of which was my Grandmother . I know Amy already lived in Hunslet but i think Alfred was from the Birminham area.

Any help and info. will be much appreciated
Thanks

1871 for Aston Warwickshire - there is another Alfred Allcock b Birmingham 1865 - this one is a later birthyear and ties in better with the 1891/1901 census

Just look at their address - 36 Allcock St - all b Birmingham

John Allcock 28 moulder
Fanny 26
Alfred   5
Charlotte   3
Agnes  1

You can find the family on the 1881 census for free as follows:

www.familysearch.org

Click on Advanced Search

Select Census from the left hand menu

Select 1881 British Census from the drop down menu and away you go.  There's a lot of pleasure in finding them yourself where possible
