Hobbs family

Hi again

I have a Samuel George Hobbs dob 30.1.1864 born to George Samuel Hobbs dob 1839 but I don't seem to be able to find anything on his father Samuel Hobbs and his mother Elizabeth.  It is the last two that I am interested in.  All from Bristol.

Do you mean that the mother of Samuel George b 1864 was Elizabeth but you can't find anything about her and hubby George Samuel?

Or - are you saying that the parents of George Samuel Hobbs b 1839 were Samuel & Elizabeth and you want to know about them?

If so - where did you get their names from?

The only George Hobbs in Gloucs on the 1841 with a father Samuel was b 1836 and mother was Jane

They were Samuel's (dob 1836) parents.  It is very confusing with so many generations of Samuel Hobbs!

But you say above that he was George Samuel b 1839 - are we looking for a Samuel b 1836 or a George Samuel b 1839?

sorry I'll start again!

Samuel Hobbs and Elizabeth had George Samuel Hobbs in 1839.  George Hobbs married Mary Showering and they had Samuel George Hobbs in 1864.  It is the first Samuel Hobbs and Elizabeth that I can't find any information on at all except that George was their son.  Sorry for the confusion.

OK - we are now all systems go except for one thing - where did you get the names of George Samuel's parents - Samuel & Elizabeth - from.  As explained above - there is an 1841 for Samuel and Jane

1871 30 Grafton St Bristol St Philips - all born there
