Burial lookup please -Annie White Completed, thanks
« on: Sunday 25 October 09 06:30 UTC (UK) »

Please could I get someone to look for the death of Annie White in the Te Awamutu/Kihikihi area? .She was born ca 1855 and died sometime between 1898 and 1918.As far as I know, she had no middle name.

I'd like to order the cert, but there are many Annie White's,and I won't be able to get to the library and have a look for myself until the end of this week.

Thankyou
Barbara

Thankyou for looking Simon. I thought she might be difficult to find .There were two Annie and Thomas Whites, living in the same area and married in the same year, which has made things confusing all along.
Appreciate your help

Hi Barbara

Yes, lots of Annie WHITE's.   Cheesy

Searching the NZ death index (online) between 1898 and 1918 on "Annie", "Anne" and "Ann" with a birth year circa 1855,  shows just one possibility ... (as far as I can see).  ?

1917 - WHITE - Annie - 61 years (born c. 1856)

Are these the marriages  ... in 1879  ??

Thomas WHITE - Annie FARRELL

Thomas WHITE - Annie Eliza STRATFORD

Thanks Lu
Yes those are the two marriages. There are a Thomas and Annie White buried in the Hamilton West cemetery & I thought it was too good to be true that these would be my pair Angry
I was just going to check the burial indicator to see if there were any Whites buried in or around KihiKihi.
You have come to the same conclusion as me on the BMD Index,so I will order the cert and cross my fingers that it is the right one.
Much appreciated
Barbara

Just to say Lu,I got the cert yesterday and it is the correct Annie - she died and was buried in Taihape, which is surprising.
No online burial records there,by the looks of things.
Thanks for your help  Smiley
