TYLER in Exton
« on: Sunday 25 October 09 10:53 UTC (UK) »

I now think it is possible that my TYLER ancestors who seem to have arrived in Timberland (Lincs) in the 1770s may have originated in Exton.

John TYLER may have married Sarah ?? c1767, having children bap in Exton 1767-74.  I believe John and Sarah were buried in Timberland in 1815 and 1781 respectively

John TYLER was bap in Exton 1747, son of Robert TYLER and Sarah ?? who had children bap 1732-47 so may have married c1731.

Baptismal info taken from IGI batch 8333490 (submitted).

Any info regarding the two marriages or relevant burials in Exton would be much appreciated.

Thanks Smiley

Geoff

John Tilor buried Timberland 1815 24 Jan aged 68  abode Martin Fen .  The burial from 1813 onwards have just gone on FreeReg although I may have transcribed this one as Tilson although looking back at the image it is clearly Tilor  Embarrassed   I will try and change the spelling!

I have moved on to baptisms from the same period at the moment so the next bunch of burials I believe are still to come but when they do I will let you know!

Right that has changed thathowever I think it won't change until the next up date next month (fingers crossed it does)

There are more Tylers in the Timberland burials as well for the time period of up to 1850s.

Thanks ammonite Smiley

Yes, I have burials from NBI and have been working back from there.  There was no John TYLER + Sarah in Lincs so I looked elsewhere.  I also have a burial for what I think was their son Robert (1836 aged 69).

I have checked Timberland registers in Lincoln Archives and the earliest TYLER occurence was Ann dau of John and Sarah 1779 ... then Sarah wife of John 1781.

It's the origin of these TYLERs that interest me.
