Hi
I am trying to find the birth of an Elizabeth Mary Hulse born abt 1850.
She is living with her grandparents in Repton, Derbyshire, in the 1861census, aged 11. but her birthplace is shown as Harrogate, Yorks . I believe that she is the illegitimate child of one of three daughters of the Hulse household, who was sent away to North Yorkshire to give birth.

Any information gratefully accepted.

I see in 1861 that no surname is given for her. So she could be the child of a married daughter and actually have a different surname.

Hi Trish
If this was my query I would start by looking for the daughters marriage and seeing if you could then find a Elizabeth xxxxxx around 1850 on the FamilySearch.org or the free Yorkshire BMD.
There isnt alot of info to go on if she has a different name, what are her Grandparents names, what are the 3 daughters etc? To look further other people need that kind of info
