Hi - I am looking for anything relating to the Cook family living in Marston Moretaine at the turn of the 19th century - specifically Thomas Cook b 1807 Marston M. or his father James born in Ampthill in 1778. Thank you in anticipation - Frazer

Virtually all Beds baptisms and marriages pre 1813 have been extracted onto the IGI at www.familysearch.org. Alternatively you can isolate entries from a particular parish by using

Thomas, son of James and Mary, was baptised on 28 Dec 1808. I can't see a marriage in either Marston or Ampthill that fits but there was one in Millbrook in 1799 which may be them. Ampthill is 4 miles from Marston, and Millbrook is half way between them. It looks as though they baptised children in Millbrook before moving on to Marston.
