mwdyl ethin looks like it was an area, rather than a housename, it does look pretty remote.

How can I locate the 1841 census for that area,, can you help me with that, my Jones might still be there.

I've had a good look on 1841 where my Jones' are, i've been through all 8 pages that are there, there is a fair few Jones families (no surprises there lol) but yours weren't one of them. I'll have a look later if i can see them anywhere else. Sorry about that  Sad

I`ve been trying to find them,  but it`s just too difficult.
they might have moved, died, or  possibly  the elder childen are all working away from home.  Huh

What`s the 1841 ref number for that area, I`d like to look to see where it is. I have tried to find it using the enumeraters description, but I can`t.

It is Uch Glan Ucha which is district 8 in whitford on the 1841 census  Grin I am a little puzzled i thought you had found your relatives in 1841?

Have you got any of the Yceifiog parish records?
