Looking for my great great grandmother - Hamilton...

I have been researching my family history for a few years now and will admit I've been spoilt! I have been loooking for a very unusual surname (Cafferata) so almost every search I go through turns up some sort of hit.  Cheesy

However, I'm now trying to find some of the more common names, so things are getting MUCH harder. Huh

Currently I'm looking into my great great grandmother who, family legend has it, was a daughter of the Duke of Hamilton. She apparently ran away with her Russian music teacher and ended up marrying Count Michel de Bartholomey.

Until recently, the only definite information I had was a document from 1880 which gives her name as Frances Mary Batholomei - her married name. Yesterday, however, I was in the library looking at Ancestry and I found her daughter's marriage banns from Paris in1896 which gave her name as Marie Broadwood Tormaly Hamilton (her maiden name).
From the dates of birth of her children - 1875 /1878 I'd guess that she would have been born from about 1840 onwards, and the photo experts at rootschat.com put this photo of her in that sort of timeframe.

My question is this - where do I go from here? I have searched freebmd, Ancestry and findmypast.com without getting any definite matches - certainly nothing definite enough to pay out money for a certificate.

All assistance / advice will be gratefully received!
